Predefined Constants

    The constants below are defined by this extension, and will only be available when the extension has either been compiled into PHP or dynamically loaded at runtime.

    SEEK_SET (int)
    SEEK_CUR (int)
    SEEK_END (int)
    LOCK_SH (int)
    LOCK_EX (int)
    LOCK_UN (int)
    LOCK_NB (int)
    GLOB_BRACE (int)
    Expands {a,b,c} to match 'a', 'b', or 'c'

    Note: GLOB_BRACE is not available on some non GNU systems, like Solaris or Alpine Linux.

    GLOB_ERR (int)
    Stop on read errors (like unreadable directories), by default errors are ignored.
    GLOB_ONLYDIR (int)
    Return only directory entries which match the pattern
    GLOB_MARK (int)
    Adds a slash (a backslash on Windows) to each directory returned
    GLOB_NOSORT (int)
    Return files as they appear in the directory (no sorting). When this flag is not used, the pathnames are sorted alphabetically
    GLOB_NOCHECK (int)
    Return the search pattern if no files matching it were found
    GLOB_NOESCAPE (int)
    Backslashes do not quote metacharacters
    GLOB_AVAILABLE_FLAGS (int)
    All GLOB_* flags combined. Equivalent to 0 | GLOB_BRACE | GLOB_MARK | GLOB_NOSORT | GLOB_NOCHECK | GLOB_NOESCAPE | GLOB_ERR | GLOB_ONLYDIR
    Constants Description
    PATHINFO_ALL (int) All parts of the pathinfo returned as an associative array.
    PATHINFO_DIRNAME (int) The path of the directory or file.
    PATHINFO_BASENAME (int) The name of the directory or the name and extension of the file.
    PATHINFO_EXTENSION (int) The extension of the file.
    PATHINFO_FILENAME (int) The name of the file (without the extension) or directory.
    FILE_USE_INCLUDE_PATH (int) Search for filename in include_path.
    FILE_NO_DEFAULT_CONTEXT (int)
    FILE_APPEND (int) Append content to existing file.
    FILE_IGNORE_NEW_LINES (int) Strip EOL characters.
    FILE_SKIP_EMPTY_LINES (int) Skip empty lines.
    FILE_BINARY (int)

    Binary mode.

    This constant has no effect, and is only available for forward compatibility.

    FILE_TEXT (int)

    Text mode.

    This constant has no effect, and is only available for forward compatibility.

    INI_SCANNER_NORMAL (int) Normal INI scanner mode.
    INI_SCANNER_RAW (int) Raw INI scanner mode.
    INI_SCANNER_TYPED (int) Typed INI scanner mode.
    FNM_NOESCAPE (int) Disable backslash escaping.
    FNM_PATHNAME (int) Slash in string only matches slash in the given pattern.
    FNM_PERIOD (int) Leading period in string must be exactly matched by period in the given pattern.
    FNM_CASEFOLD (int) Caseless match. Part of the GNU extension.
    Constants Description
    UPLOAD_ERR_CANT_WRITE

    Failed to write file to disk.

    UPLOAD_ERR_EXTENSION

    A PHP extension stopped the file upload. PHP does not provide a way to ascertain which extension caused the file upload to stop; examining the list of loaded extensions with phpinfo() may help.

    UPLOAD_ERR_FORM_SIZE

    The uploaded file exceeds the MAX_FILE_SIZE directive that was specified in the HTML form.

    UPLOAD_ERR_INI_SIZE

    The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.

    UPLOAD_ERR_NO_FILE

    No file was uploaded.

    UPLOAD_ERR_NO_TMP_DIR

    Missing a temporary folder.

    UPLOAD_ERR_OK

    There is no error, the file uploaded with success.

    UPLOAD_ERR_PARTIAL

    The uploaded file was only partially uploaded.
